Tōshin Toshi[edit]

Custom (カスタムKasutamu), a fighter on his travels, saves Kumiko (クミコ) from being attacked whilst en route to 'Tōshin Toshi,' a city where great warriors do battle. She was traveling there to see if her father, Alexander (アレキサンダーArekisandā), had become the champion of the Tōshin Tournament, and resident in the mansion of the victor of the Tōshin Tournament. He was kept there for many years whilst under the control of YORA, the mayor of Tōshin City, where the Tōshin Tournament is held. Custom agrees to battle through the tournament so that Kumiko can see her father again; after he successfully completes the tournament, he marries Kumiko, as the two had fallen in love. The game was originally released on the PC-98 series of home computers, along with the FM Towns, the Sharp X68000, and the MSX 2. It was released as a Windows 95–03 title in the late 1990s, and was released publicly as a part of AliceSoft's release of old games publicly in 2008. An English language translation of the game, based on AliceSoft's 2006 release of the late 1990s Windows 96–03 re-release of the original, was released in 2013.[3]

Tōshin Toshi Ⅱ[edit]

Main article: Tournament of the Gods

Seed Cashima (シード・カシマShīdo Kashima), the weakest fighter of a dojo, has fallen in love with Hazuki (瑞原葉月Mizuhara Hazuki), the daughter of the dojo-master. The dojo-master wants his daughter to be happy, but is unable to let his dojo fall into the hands of a weak fighter. He charges Seed to become victorious at the Tōshin Tournament, and promises Hazuki to him if he is successful at the tournament. The game was originally released for the PC-9800 series, along with the FM Towns, in 1994. A Windows 95–03 version was released in the late 1990s. The original PC-9800 series release of the game was re-released on-line publicly in 2008. An English language translation of the Windows re-release was released in 2013. Separately, an updated remake of the game was released on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan under the title Tōshin Toshi Girls Gift RPG (闘神都市 GIRLS GIFT RPG).[4] It is the only AliceSoft title to have been officially remade for a Nintendo console.

Tōshin Toshi Ⅲ[edit]
